Whole School Swimming Carnival

The swimming carnival is a compulsory school day with all students expected to attend.

With increasing student numbers, there have been slight alphabetical changes to Sports Houses to balance the numbers of students in each house.

BUS DETAILS:

A.M.

All students catch their normal buses. Buses will drop just outside Leisure Way on Benjamin Lee Dr and they walk down to the pool escorted by teachers. An empty bus displaying "School Charter" will be at the school at approx 08:40 to take anyone from the school down to the venue.

PLEASE NOTE:

Students please catch your normal bus to avoid overloading other buses.

P.M.

Medowie bus 1 (1621), bus 2 (1463) bus 3 (2434) and bus (1623) will depart the pool at 3:15 and go straight to Medowie.

Any other students needing to get back to the school to catch any other buses from the school at their normal time will board a bus displaying "School Charter".

This bus will depart the pool strictly at 3pm so as not to hold up any other buses at the school.

COST:

The cost is $4.30 per student with the exception of students who have pool memberships or a fitness passport. Membership cards MUST be presented on the day.

This whole school swimming carnival to be held on the second week back at school, is a huge amount of fun with a mix of competitive and novelty events - so something for every student .. and teacher :)

Where: Lakeside Aquatic Centre

When: Monday 3rd February

Time: 8:50am-2:30pm approx.

* Students will be given permission notes on Wednesday 29th (Yrs 7,11 and 12) and Thursday 30th (Whole School). These need to be returned to PE staff by Friday 31st January please.

* Essential items: Please bring own food/drink (water), hat, sunscreen, appropriate swimming attire. Sunscreen will be provided by the school.

MOY COCKATOOS: K-P yellow

DAWSON DOLPHINS: Q-Z green

In case of inclement weather, the carnival back up day will be Monday February 10, still at Lakeside Pool.
