What to do when...

Important information about daily life at school.

Arrive at school late

Report to the Administration Office as soon as you arrive at school. Bring a note explaining your lateness on the next school day as it counts as partial absence on the roll.

Early Leavers

At our school, the safety and well-being of our students are our top priority. To help make the process of early departure smooth and efficient, we ask parents and carers to follow these important guidelines.

If your child needs to leave school early, please provide a note to the Administration Office by 9:00am. The note should include:

• Your child’s full name

• Date and time of departure

• Reason for leaving

• Parent/carer signature

• Parent/carer phone number

Alternatively, you can send an email to irrawang-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au by 9:00am with the same details.

Once we receive the note, we will process the Early Leave pass. Your child can collect it from the office if leaving in break time, or it will be sent to them in their class outside of break time. This will ensure they will be ready to meet you at the front gate when you arrive.

If you arrive without a prior note, you can still collect your child by coming to the Administration office in person and presenting photo identification. This process helps us ensure that your child leaves with an authorised person.

Please be aware that when you phone the school to arrange early departure, you will be asked some security questions. These questions help verify we are speaking with the correct person and protect our students. Occasionally, for both notes and phone calls, we may call you back to confirm details for added security.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Following these steps helps us manage office administration smoothly and ensures your child’s safety at all times.
