Irrawang High School Uniform

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community. Our school uniforms are available to purchase at LOWES MarketPlace Raymond Terrace, with the exception of our student designed school hoodie, which is only available from our school office.

At Irrawang High School, our school uniform was developed collaboratively with students, teachers, parents, carers, and members of our local community to ensure it reflects our school values and meets the needs of all learners.

Our uniform:

Meets all legislative requirements – including occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination, and equal opportunity standards, while promoting a safe and respectful school environment.
Is affordable, comfortable, and easy to wear – made from durable, easy-care fabrics that encourage students to take pride in their appearance every day.
Supports active participation – designed to be practical and appropriate for the full range of school activities, both in and out of the classroom.
Promotes inclusivity and school identity – offering options that suit all body shapes and help students feel a sense of belonging and pride in being part of Irrawang High School.

Irrawang High School is a ‘Uniform School’, and we understand that parents/carers want their child to wear a uniform to school. Staff actively monitor the wearing of school uniform and we ask that parents/carers support us by working together to maintain this policy. The school recognises that the vast majority of students at Irrawang High School dress in an acceptable manner at all times.

School Shoes

Solid shoes are important for the safety of students. There are many areas in our school that require students to wear fully enclosed black leather shoes for safety reasons - ie the kitchens and the woodworking and metal work areas. This is a WHS requirement.

Financial Assistance

The school can assist students needing help with the purchase of school uniforms.

We are proud of our school and school uniform, and have high expectations of our students wearing our uniform in its entirety and with pride.
