A strong start

Our school welcomes all students from all backgrounds. We help every child feel safe, included and ready to learn from their very first day.

As one of two state comprehensive co-educational high schools located in Raymond Terrace, Irrawang High School has an enrolment of approximately 950 students, with 20% of students having an Aboriginal Torres Strait Island background.

Growth in the classroom and beyond

We offer our students a wide range of subjects and opportunities. This empowers them to learn, develop skills, and discover their passions.

The school promotes excellence in academic, cultural and sporting performance and also provides a wide range of creative and performing arts opportunities. The school has implemented a range of strategies to support the education of gifted and talented students.

Support for every family

Our teachers and learning and wellbeing support teams work with our families. We co-design plans that help students learn in the way that works best for them.

Significant equity funding allows the school to implement a number of successful initiatives that assist the wellbeing and education of students and support families.
