Year 10 Students Learning Work Ready and Life Skills

Twenty Year 10 students took part in a ready for work program called "Polish" at the Raymond Terrace Bowling Club recently. As part of Beacon Foundation the program the course covered the following:
Goal setting and success; Interview preparation; confidence/team building skills; manners and etiquette; skin care; Interactive luncheon with guests; Impression management; communication; employers' expectations; body language; presentation and grooming; personal hygiene;eye contact; wardrobe and table etiquette
Special lunch guests were Principal Mr Col Elliott; former Mayor Mr Bob Westbury; Courtney Murphy Manager YMCA Raymond Terrace and Noni Tame HR Manager Big W.
