ABORIGINAL EDUCATION is linked to all areas of learning and is strongly supported at IHS. Our Indigenous students regularly visit partner schools contributing to strengthening relationships such as participating in NAIDOC week activities. Personalised Learning Plans for all students form the basis of differentiated learning and these are developed in collaboration with the student's teachers, the student, their family and key support staff. These plans are made available to all staff ensuring each student's goals and educational outcomes are a priority. Extra transition days for ATSI students are continuing to be enhanced with the annual transition calendar, in order to build on sense of community and belonging.
