Teachers Ashley Burgess and Leena Ryan have joined the Maths faculty, bringing with them a great deal of enthusiasm and a determination to make their classes enjoyable and fun, by using a variety of resources and giving their students more practical activities.

As "New Scheme" teachers their goal is to individualise the learning process and engage and enrich the students in their classes.

Ms Ryan a targeted graduate with degrees in Mathematics and Music, gained her Masters in Teaching last year and was awarded a Maths Scholarship - one of only 40 across the state.

Ms Burgess and Head Teacher Maths Ms Bailey, are working with Middle School students in 7E &  7M in open space learning. Small groups of students rotate within the space, with all taught the same content but in different methods.

Science teacher Mr Taylor Ross a scholarship graduate who majored at university in Biology with a Minor in Physics and Chemistry, believes his students have responded well to his teaching style. He   looks forward to preparing his senior students to become lifelong learners and teaching them to become more independent later in the year in readiness for university and/or further education.
