WOW a world champion in our midst!!
Year 7 student Georgia Almond has just returned from a highly successful International Global Dance and Cheer Games held from June 10-13 in Hawaii. Georgia who has been cheer leading for three years and dancing for 6 years before that, belongs to MC Planet Warabrook Dance in Newcastle and was one of a 50 person squad which competed at two Levels – Junior and Senior.
Participants from NZ, USA, Japan, China, Australia and Mexico competed, with Georgia and her squad of 28 being named GRAND CHAMPIONS in Level 1 - up to 14 yo, and placing 2nd by .4 of a point in Level 2 – under 18yos.
An incredible awesome achievement at this global event – Congratulations Georgia!!
