Year 7 Swim Smart Program
A reminder that the annual Year 7 Swim Smart Program is starting soon.
Year 7 students will take part in a compulsory Swim Smart Program organised under the guidelines and award structure of the Royal Life Saving Society (NSW) and run by our PDHPE Faculty.
This is a comprehensive lifesaving program that caters for all swimming abilities. This includes non-swimmers. Regularly timetabled lessons will NOT be running for classes allocated to the pool during this time.
The staff at this school place great value in strengthening students’ swimming abilities as well as teaching them a variety of lifesaving skills which one day might save them or somebody else.
Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st November
7T, 7M, 7R and Support
Thursday 23rd- & Friday 24th November
7E, 7Q, 7S and 7C
Please note: This program will NOT run on Wednesday November 22nd.
Transport
* students travelling by bus can get off the bus closest to the corner of Leisure Way and Benjamin Lee Drive. Staff will be waiting at the bus stop to accompany students to the pool
* students can walk to and from school to the pool
* students can be dropped off at the pool
Time: normal school hours - 8.47am
Cost: $5pp for both days
Where: Lakeside Pool
Please bring own drinks and food although there is a canteen at the pool , swimmers, towels, sunscreen and a hat
