Swimming carnival information

Whole School Swimming Carnival Friday February 9

A gentle reminder about the organisation for the carnival at Lakeside Pool. All teaching staff will be at the pool and rolls will be marked there. There will be no teaching staff at school.

Cost : $4 payable to school office or online – from next week.

Where: Lakeside Pool Raymond Terrace

Time: Competitors Only from 8am. (100m & 200m events)

Successful students will be selected for zone trials, later this term.

Transport

Students can walk to the pool with parent’s permission, however there will be shuttle buses leaving from school to the pool from 8.15am until 9am and from 2.30pm until 3.10pm.

Students wishing to walk home from the pool at the end of the day, must mark this on the permission notes.

Year 7 students will be given a paper permission form to return to the school office when they pay their entrance fee. All other years will receive notification via email and can pay online.

The full carnival starts after 9am. There will be 50m events followed by novelty events, with the big finale the Bellyflop competition. Please note, anyone wishing to participate in the Bellyflop Competition MUST have a signed permission slip from their parents.

Students are encouraged to wear House Colours..

The weather forecast is predicted to be very warm and sunscreen will be provided by the school. However, if you have any special sunscreen, please bring it along. Please bring hats and water.

Canteen facilities will be available.
